but i dont even want to talk about these records [for the record the second one is arms way by islands, which is barely even that good, the first record was much, much better [but still not nearly as great as the unicorns].
lately i've been listening to mountain goats bootlegs as i got some "new" ones, very happy about that, friends are important.
okay, since i cant really talk much more about that [go see the mountain goats live & even if you didnt like a record or certain songs you will have a new appreciation for them] i guess i'll go ahead & write something about this bike is a pipe bomb.
it's funny considering the bands name that they're folk punk, with an almost swing/dance hall kind of vibe. lyrically they're fun & upbeat, positive music for sure, i mean, just take a listen to "Depression". most of the songs are barely 2 and a half minutes & the last song is a mere 55 seconds long, but in every song they manage to pack a whole lot of great music & still leave you wanting to hear the next track.
this furry on a message board somewhere in outer space gave some people his breakcore-beat-to-fuck-toss in a toilet homage to happy hardcore & it was pretty excellent, short tracks, dancy as fuck, & loud. tracks like "am i the only person to notice goths listen to happy hardcore?" & "trapped under a hoover" are just really excellent in an hey check it out it's like breakcore decided to not only rape gabba, but skullfuck the shit out of happy hardcore.
